    The National Academy of Indian Payroll (NAIP) is proud to be part of the 30th Anniversary which features some of the best Arabian racehorses from around the world.

    This significant raceday under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum is not only a significant raceday but a family day out. With crowds of 15,000 being expected on the 23rd September at Newbury racecourse.

    H. E. Mirza Al Sayegh said, “It is a milestone year for the Dubai International Arabian Race Day and we are delighted that with the support of Newbury Racecourse and the Arabian Racing Organisation we can provide an opportunity for so many people to enjoy this European showcase event.

    The meeting is especially important for the local community with Colourful Camels is an exciting art project for primary schools which allows children to express themselves through art and provides teachers with an opportunity to engage with students in a wide variety of subjects including languages, geography and culture.

    Since its introduction in 2009 His Highness Sheikh Hamdan has contributed more than £30,000 to supporting the education of children in West Berkshire. This year near life-sized camel sculptures have been delivered to 15 schools in the region for pupils to paint with their own designs almost doubling the reach of the competition.

    NAIP held its 4th Major Conference 14th June 2012. The mid-year Conference was held for the first time in the Capital, Delhi at the prestigious Shahgri La Hotel .

    The full day event was well attended by an International audience. The delegates came from many sectors of industry as well as the public sector.

    The Conference Chief Guest was the Rt Hon. Mr Santosh Bagrodia a leading Parliamentarian and former Central Government Minister. Mr Bagrodia praised NAIP for its initiatives and the importance of payroll within the country.

    The Rt Hon. Dr Narendra Jadhav , Member of the National Planning Commission and National Advisory Council for the Government of India, which is responsible for the development of the India’s Strategic policy development under the Country’s 12th Five Year Plan , presented a thought provoking Key Note Address and praised and pledged his support to the work of NAIP (National Academy of Indian Payroll) and to NAIP’s Chairman Mr Nayaz Qazi.

    The day’s Conference allowed a detailed look at the pertinent subject areas presented by the speakers as well as a very interactive panel session which included presentations of complex and current issues by representatives of ESI, PF , Income tax and Labour Compliance and the Q & A session with the Panel which provided the delegates a unique platform to raise their concerns and to learn about possible developments and reform.

    NAIP’s Chairman Nayaz Qazi was invited by NAIP’s Strategic Partner The Al Maktoum College of Higher Education to Meet Scotland’s First Minister. His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh who is the Chairman of the Al Maktoum College of Higher Education in Scotland and NAIP’s International Patron invited Nayaz Qazi as part of the delegation which met Scotland’s First Minister The Right Honourable Mr Alex Salmond.

    The meeting took place at The First Minister’s Official Residence Bute House in Edinburgh. It was on the culmination of the Academic Training Programme at the Al Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee.

    At its second International Conference in Mumbai on 3rd December 2011, Dr. Jadhav (Member of the National Advisory Council to the Government and Member of the National Planning Commission) (Member of the goverment of India national planning comission and national advisory coucil) applauded the training and education initiatives instigated by NAIP to help professionalize those working in Payroll and HR.

    Dr. Jadhav, referring to the Government’s initiative to have 70 million skilled workers by the end of the12th five year plan, said that although this was an ambitious target it would be substantially aided by organizations such as NAIP playing a part and inspiring workers to enhance their skills and thereby their job prospects.

    As keynote speaker Dr. Jadhav was welcomed by the 150 delegates at the Leela Hotel, all
    HR & Payroll professionals, who heard national speakers such as Dr J T Vyas (Past Governor Rotary International) and other prominent contributors speaking on relevant topics relating to the Compensation and Rewards System, Harnessing the Power of Process and Delivering Successful Change as well as a panel of experts answering delegates’ technical questions.

    Dr. Jadhav commented, “I felt at home among the NAIP delegates. These people assist Government by collecting and paying revenues due to Government, accurately and on time, enabling Government policies to continue. India is at the forefront of the International Payroll
    and HR movement which makes me proud.”

    Two speakers from the UK (Gordon Cresswell and Rose Howley of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) spoke on Business Continuity when tragedies arise and Best Practice in Payroll and HR.
